Description
The Prunus 'Accolade' is a stunning hybrid between the Spring cherry (Prunus subhirtella) and the Sargent’s cherry (Prunus sargentii), offering the best of both worlds. The tree's foliage, large and simple, remains green through the growing season before turning to fiery shades of red and orange in autumn. Originating from Knaphill Nursery, Surrey, in 1952, the 'Accolade' has grown in popularity due to its beautiful form and dual-season interest.
