Description
The Salix alba 'Hutchinson's Yellow' is fast-growing with a diverse habit and is perfect for winter interest. This hardy Willow displays small clusters of green-yellow catkins in spring, attracting bees and butterflies.
 
This medium-sized, ornamental tree has attractive bark with 'egg yolk' yellow stems during winter and foliage changing from green to yellow throughout Spring to Autumn.
 
This Willow is a hardy addition, suitable for wildlife and informal gardens. This vibrant coloured willow will also make a fantastic living willow structure or can be used in basket making.  
 
Planting Position
The Salix alba 'Hutchinson's Yellow' will do well in full sun and moist or wet soil.
 
Aftercare
Willow trees are fairly low maintenance. They can be pruned from late autumn through to early spring which can maintain a good shape as well as encouraging new growth for their winter stem colour.
 
Size
After 10 years, the tree can be expected to reach a height of 6m with a 5m spread.
