A graceful, spreading cherry tree that boasts masses of pendulous, semi-double, bright pink flowers in April, followed by vibrant autumn foliage. An exceptional choice for any garden, reaching a size of 6m x 4m in 20 years.

Description
The Prunus 'Accolade' is a stunning hybrid between the Spring cherry (Prunus subhirtella) and the Sargent’s cherry (Prunus sargentii), offering the best of both worlds. Its dense clusters of lively pink, semi-double flowers measure approximately 3.5cm in diameter, creating a spectacular spring display. The tree's foliage, large and simple, remains green through the growing season before turning to fiery shades of red and orange in autumn. Originating from Knaphill Nursery, Surrey, in 1952, the 'Accolade' has grown in popularity due to its beautiful form and dual-season interest.
