Description
A lovely, RHS award-winning, form of photinia hedging. 'Pink Marble' provides interest and all year colour. New leaves emerge a bright pinky-red and mature to cream and green over time. A great more informal hedging plant where a slightly less dense screen is required as it has an open habit. White flowers appear in spring. This photinia will work well as a standalone shrub and is tolerant of hard-pruning if required.
Planting Position
Suitable for most locations and soil types, best grown in moist, but well drained soil, in full sun or part shade but it is recommended to grow it in full sun as it will encourage more vibrant colours. Frost tolerant and happy in exposed positions.
Attributes
The foliage is coloured all year round producing variegated pink and red markings which mature to a green with a cream trimming. In Spring, clusters of small white flowers appear which compliment the varicoloured foliage.
