Description
A vibrant, compact form of photinia hedging. 'Little Red Robin' provides interest and all year colour. New leaves emerge a glossy red and mature to green over time. This photinia will work well as a standalone shrub and is tolerant of hard-pruning if required. Smaller than many varieties of photinia but still giving lovely impact through the year. Works well where a lower level of hedge is required.
Planting Position
Suitable for most locations and soil types, best grown in moist, but well drained soil, in full sun or part shade but it is recommended to grow it in full sun as it will encourage more vibrant colours. Frost tolerant and happy in exposed positions.
Attributes
The foliage is coloured all year round producing new leaves in a vibrant red which gradually turn to green. In Spring, clusters of small white flowers appear which compliment the foliage.
