Description
Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this wonderful mulberry tree produces an abundance of rich flavoured, dark-red, almost black fruits. Self-fertile and begins cropping early in the tree's life making it a fantastic addition to any fruity garden. The fruits can be eaten fresh from the tree, or used in cooking.
Planting Position
A well drained soil and a good sunny position is best. Prefers a slightly sheltered position. Beware, the fruits of the mulberry tree can stain very easily - clothes or hands, especially when picking. To gather the fruits easily, lay a clean sheet under the tree and shake the trunk or boughs vigorously to loosen and ripe fruits.
