Overview

The Malus 'Golden Hornet' is a beautiful deciduous tree known for its warm bronzed leaves and golden-yellow fruits that persist into winter.

Description
The 'Golden Hornet' is a small to medium-sized deciduous, spreading crab apple tree. In spring, the tree has mid-green foliage with showy white flowers flushed with pink. During autumn, warm bronzed leaves appear alongside golden-yellow fruits that persist into the winter months. The Golden Hornet is a fantastic tree to encourage pollinators into your outside space.

The Malus 'Golden Hornet' will develop an oval shape and grow to 5m/16ft tall and 4m/13ft wide (within 20 years), making this an excellent fruit tree for small and medium-sized gardens.

Planting Position
The Malus will thrive in most soils, although it prefers well-drained, moist, moderately fertile soil in full sun or partial shade positioning.

Attributes
Spreading branched, small to medium-sized deciduous fruit tree. An excellent choice for a mixed hedge, a polliniser or an ornamental tree.
