Description

This hardy flowering dogwood displays small, star-like, white flowers in spring, turning reddish-bronze in autumn, attracting an abundance of wildlife. The Cornus kousa 'Cappuccino' flowers can give way to rounded, ornamental, red fruit during autumn, providing an essential food source for birds.

The Cornus kousa 'Cappuccino' is a small, ornamental tree with glossy, medium-sized, ovate, green, tinted bronze leaves from spring, turning attractive shades of orange and red before the leaves fall in autumn, which reveals grey-brown, textured bark and tiered branches throughout the winter season.

Planting Position

This flowering dogwood is low-maintenance, suitable for small gardens, and often planted in courtyards and informal spaces. The Cornus kousa 'Cappuccino' will grow in most conditions; plant in exposed or sheltered areas in full sun to partial shade and in moist but well-drained soil.

After Care

The Cornus kousa 'Cappuccino' requires little maintenance. Remove dead, diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots during winter or early spring. Water only if the compost feels dry.
