Description
Blackbells® blossoms give way to large, sweet blackcurrants from mid to late July. The fruits are great for eating fresh or making jams, puddings and cordials.
Planting Position
This Blackcurrant is a beautiful addition, suitable for cottage and informal gardens. The Blackbells® will do well in sheltered areas in full sun to partial shade and in moist but well-drained soil.
After Care
Blackcurrants require moderate maintenance. Prune dead, diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots; heavy pruning should be carried out during the dormant season and promote new growth in the following season—water only in extremely hot or dry periods.
Size
Blackbells® can reach a height of 1.5m with a 1m spread.
