Description

This Blackcurrant displays The Black' n' Red Premiere® blossoms give way to medium-sized, super sweet, aromatic blackcurrants from mid-July. The fruits are great for pies, summer desserts and making jam.

The Black 'n' Red Premiere® is a productive fruit brush with fresh, green leaves in spring, turning red-burgundy from late summer into late autumn.

Planting Position

This Blackcurrant is a beautiful addition, often planted in cottage and informal gardens. The Black' n' Red Premiere® will do well in sheltered areas in full sun and moist but well-drained soil.

After Care

Blackcurrants require moderate maintenance. Prune dead, diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots; heavy pruning should be carried out during the dormant season and promote new growth in the following season—water only in extremely hot or dry periods.
