Overview

This Purple Flowering Lilac is a pretty variety of lilac with large, fragrant purplish red blossoms with distinctive white margins. A perfect ornamental tree to add colour and attract wildlife into your garden.

 

Description

A deciduous shrub with a relatively loose habit, producing large, single, purplish red florets edged with distinctive white margins to each petal. The fragrant flowers appear in May-June and are attractive to all sorts of wildlife, such as bees and butterflies.

 

Planting Position

Easy to grow in most well-drained, fertile, humus-rich alkaline to neutral soils. Thrives in chalky ground and appreciates mulching when planted in full sun.

 

Attributes 
The unusual , slightly variegated, flowers on this beautiful lilac make this a great specimen for any garden.
