Square Sawn Wooden Stakes
Square sawn tree stakes are used to support the Tubex tree and shrub shelters as well as the wire mesh guards. They should be knocked in to at least a third of their length and should sit below the flared rim at the top of the shelter.
 
These wooden stakes are:
 
- made from good quality softwood
- pressure treated for a long life
- pointed for relative ease of driving into the ground using a hammer
 
Sizes needed for Tubex: 
 
60cm Tubex Shrubshelter - 75cm or 90cm stake
 
1.2m Tubex Standard Treeshelter - 1.2m stake or 1.5m stake
 
1.5m Tubex Standard Plus Treeshelter - 1.5m stake
 
1.8m Tubex Standard Plus Treeshelter - 1.8m stake
 
Longer stakes are recommended for light, sandy soils.
 
Thicker stakes are recommended for more exposed sites.
