Prunus Domestica - Merryweather
Merryweather Damson are a large sized damson used for both cooking and eating. Heavy crops of blue-black fruit can be eaten fresh but are best when used for culinary purposes. The fruit does tend to cling to the stone but the flesh is juicy with a good acidic flavour.

Description
Awarded RHS Award of Garden Merit, this lovely juicy damson produces large clusters of prolific blue-black fruit with a wonderful sharp flavour. Delicious for cooking or can be eaten straight from the tree when fully ripe. Self-fertile and a heavy cropper, originally from Nottinghamshire.

Will grow in most areas. As with most damson, it does prefer a sunny sContainer.
