Fagus sylvatica is an imposing British native tree with wavy margined leaves, pale at first, turning glossy dark green, then yellow to orange-brown in autumn. Beech is one of the UK's most popular ornamental garden hedging plants but also makes a wonderful tree for a large garden or open space.

Also known as Common or European Beech, this noble deciduous tree has a broad, domed crown and can grow in excess of 40m in height.

Planting Position
Green Beech thrives well in drier, free-draining soils, such as chalk, limestone and light loams.
