Description
Crab apple trees are versatile and rewarding to grow. They produce a profusion of flowers in the spring, which bring light and sweet fragrance to your garden, and provide a generous crop of fruit each autumn which is edible after processing.
The leaves of this cultivar emerge a glossy red and graduate to dark green and yellow as the seasons progress. The flowers, pink in bud, are a crisp white and red, conical fruits form in the autumn and sustain through the winter if unharvested. Achieving 4-6m in maturity, with a spread of approximately 2m, this makes a fabulous tree for any size garden or site. Narrower in form that many of the other Crab apples available it is the perfect tree for a small, restricted space without necessitating excessive pruning.
