Description
This hardy Blackberry displays clusters of rose-like, pinkish-white flowers in spring, attracting an abundance of wildlife.
The Rubus fruiticosus 'Arapaho' flowers give way to tasty, small-seeded, bright glossy, black berries ready to eat in early summer. The berries are also great for jams and syrups.
Planting Position
This Blackberry is a highly-tolerant, self-supporting fruit bush.The Rubus fruiticosus 'Arapaho'will do well in full sun to partial shade and in moist but well-drained or well-drained soil.
After Care
The Rubus fruiticosus 'Arapaho'requires moderate maintenance.Prune twice yearly, once during summer to promote new growth and late winter to remove the ground-level shoots that fruited the previous season. Once established, water three times a week during the growing season.
Size
The bush can reach a height of 4-6ft with a 3-4ft spread.
